Top tips to good health

Getting healthy and achieving good health does not have to be a massive effort. If you approach “getting healthier’ with the approach of incorporating changes into your daily life, you will find that before you know it, you are healthier, happier and your health and mood has improved. It is time to put in some effort towards getting healthy and feel the difference!


 

 

Start the day right!
Did you know it only takes three minutes to boil an egg? Research shows that people who eat an egg for breakfast are less likely to snack throughout the day and so the results of this are that they tend to lose more weight and have an overall improvement in good health. Scientists believe that the combination of protein and fat means that eggs make us feel fuller for longer. Eggs also give you more energy! Getting healthier has never been easier!


Incorporate exercise
It has been said that women who live in two storey homes are on average two kilos lighter than women who live is single storeys. This is because they run up and down their stairs a few times a day. Here are a few things that you can do at home that will make a huge difference to  achieving good health.

Run up and down those stairs.
Carry your shopping up to the kitchen (you do it! It is great exercise and you will get sexy arms!)
Do sit ups while watching T.V
Ignore escalators and elevators- Take the stairs at every chance for an increase in good health


 

Lemon-AID
Lemons are jam packed with vitamin C and B. They contain few calories and may help in cancer prevention. Research shows that lemon on food slows down the absorption rate of carbohydrates and so can keep your blood sugar levels low. Lemon juice and zest can be used on vegies, fish and salads and in drinks, green tea and water


Fish
Fish is a great diet food so replace some of those meat dishes with fish. Oily fish such as salmon and tuna and sardines are packed with omega-3’s and they keep arteries happy, healthy, skin supple and the brain healthy and increase your levels of good health.


Laugh
There is so much evidence to support that laughing is fantastic for us. Research shows that people who laugh have better immune systems, cope better with pain and live longer. Try seeing the funny side of life to ease those stress levels. If you are lacking inspiration, hire a comedy DVD, sit down, relax and laugh out loud. Take note at how good you feel at the end of it.


Stretch
You know how great you feel after a good stretch. Stretching improves circulation, eases stress, and prevents aches and injuries. Stand up now and stretch out your upper body and lower back.

Make changes daily and work on incorporating little steps towards good health and  getting healthy. Your body will thank you for it! Little steps combined add up to BIG results.
