Your bread choice should be a dark bread or multigrain bread. (eg Rye is great and Soy & Linseed is also great)
Try to limit your bread to one piece per day if you are trying to move those unwanted kilos
Eat as much lettuce, cucumber and celery with your meals as you like
One piece of fruit per meal is great but two pieces a day is better when you are committed to losing weight
Fish is a great diet food choice when you are trying to lose weight.
Try fish for your main meal a least three times per week.
Eight glasses of water per day is essential (aim for 2 litres per day) If two litres sounds unachievable, aim for 6-8 glasses a day
DO NOT SNACK!!! ( try a glass of water or a hot herbal drink if you think you are hungry)
If you are starving…. ( but you shouldn’t be) have a few almonds or nuts or a small tub of yoghurt. Even a little cheese on a crisp-bread is a better option than a sugary treat. Perhaps a couple of strawberries or a hand full of blueberries will do the trick but remember, we want to stop the unnecessary snacking.
Drink herbal tea, chamomile, peppermint, green tea as often as you like.
Enjoy a salad before eating your main meal. You will not only increase your vegetable intake but you will consume 20 percent less calories
Say NO to the following foods!

Pasta
Potato
White rice( choose basmati if you must and once a week and make it a very small serve)
White bread
Biscuits, cakes and sweets
Commercial baked goods
Fast food
Processed foods
Bananas (only while trying to shed the kilos and when they are gone and you are at your goal weight, one to two bananas a week is enough) Bananas are a wonderfully nutritious food, but monitor how many you consume whilst dieting
Skip the butter, margarine, sauces and gravy’s
Avoid alcohol and diet soft drinks or normal soft drinks.
If you must have an alcoholic drink, choose one standard glass of red wine three times a week only.
If you must have a soft drink, choose one diet soda per day with a meal.
Limit your coffee and tea to three cups per day, no milk!
Practice these simple slimming tips and eat the above great diet foods and you will find that you WILL achieve your goal.
